Let’s start this off the right way, I have no clue what I’m talking about, just knowledge from other people and forums. My 98 k1500 has no ac, I went to give her some ac pro and it was reading over full. I then realized my clutch wasn’t spinning and was convinced I needed a new compressor. Well today I decided it’s already broke and tried a few things. First I gave her some gas while under the hood, and boom the clutch spun for 3 seconds then stopped however the ac didn’t get cold. I tried to mimic this and it didn’t work a second time. Next I pulled off the front and rear electrical and cleaned them, nothing. I read up on how some compressors kick themselves off if they are over charged, so I released some pressure from the bottom fill cap and it was just air not the good **** whatever it’s called I don’t know what I’m talking about. Proceeded to the upper but it was already releasing slow bubbles from some liquid. Sorry if I make no sense or am not clear enough I tried my best, would be great if someone could help diagnose this for me!
