Default Cargo Lamp Installation

I think I might have a new one for y'all, I have never found an answer to this question, so I hope that y'all can figure this one out.

I have a 1997 Chevrolet Cheyanne 3500HD Vortec 454 cab & chassis with a flatbed, I want to add a couple pod lights to the flat bed for better visibility. I bought a "Cargo Lamp" switch to make it look factory, then I pulled my dash bezel off and there sat a plug for it, which was a surprise to me because it did not come with either a cargo light or a third brake light. Can any of you tell me where this plug ends up at? I pulled the cab light off and used a borescope to look all around the area with no sign of the wires, and I tried tracing the wires back, but I couldn't get past where it goes into the rest of the wiring harness. I know it doesn't fit the air bag switch like is some trucks or the rear wiper switch in Tahoes and Suburbans, but what else would it fit and where would it go to? I even considered it being an "AUX LIGHT" plug, but I can't find anyone that knows how they were installed or where they end up at.
