Default Climate control, A/C, blend door and mode actuator issue. Help!

I have a 1995 Chevrolet 2500, automatic, 4x4, 5.7 liter truck. I tried to turn on the A/C and it wouldn't work. I tried to move the air output from the floor to the defrost and it wouldn't change. I watched some videos and talked to some people at the parts store. All signs pointed to the mode actuator on the drivers side. Easy access and only a $40 part. So I bought a new actuator and installed it but it still didn't work. Frustrated, I gave up for the day. Then this morning I went out to start my truck and the A?C and modes worked! I turned off my truck and then turned it back on and the A/C and air modes quit working again. No A/C and air would only come out on the floor. I pulled the A/C fuse, put it back in and it started working again. Not sure if that had anything to do with it because now it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I reinstalled the old actuator and it stills works sometimes for a minute or two and then doesn't. WHAT? Anyone have any ideas what might be going on to make it work and then not? Any help would be appreciated.

I had what sounds like a similar issue. Air blows only on dash or floor. Does not blend. No AC. I read online there was an issue with climate control module. The module in cab with ***** and AC button. Common issue on Silverado/ Tahoe for the 95 and a few years before. I replaced the module with an AC Delco one found on Amazon and all is well. Made in Canada too (and not China) I just happened across this fix while researching how to troubleshoot AC.
