Default Cranks, has spark but no fuel

Hi, I have a 1998 5.7 Vortec Silverado automatic, it will crank ,has spark but no fuel. Last week I drove to Orlando Florida from North Carolina and drove back towing a vehicle. Got all the way home turn the truck off went out to restart the truck did not hear the fuel pump Prime, and vehicle would not start. I replaced the fuel pump relay that did not work. I attempted to put 12 volt positive to the fuel pump feed harness and it just sparked back at me so I stopped, and figured the fuel pump is locked up burnt out. It was making the usual loud whining noise for about 2 months ago. The truck has 351000 miles on it I do not know if the pump has ever been changed. I've had the truck since 2009 and have not replaced it. Any suggestions,? Pump?.
. Thanks in Advance

From your description it sounds like you need to change the fuel pump.

i have heard that the fuel pumps only last to about 125000-150000 if kept cool with at least a quarter tank of fuel to keep it cooled.

if your pump has 315000 then you got your monies worth out of it !!!
