I am looking to put a nice touch screen radio unit in my 1996 silverado 1500 but I am unsure how to go about making it fit. Also will any head unit work in this truck? or does it have to be a specific kind? are they all just plug and play?

I've found this item on ebay that seems to be what I want, however it is pretty expensive and also isn't the correct colour for my interior.

EDIT: It seems like that part isn't for a 1996 silverado 1500? It says in the ad it is, but in the compatibility checker below it says it isn't.
