Dual fuel tanks?
Hello all.
I have a 2000 K3500 4X4 with the 7.4L Vortec. It came from the factory with a 26 gallon fuel tank, which for the engine is way too small. I know the diesels came with a 34 gallon option which I would like to add to replace my 26 gallons. However I was curious if anyone has placed the 26 gallon tank on the opposite side to yield 2 tanks. This would give me 60 gallons of fuel.

I was looking into the 34 gallon tank swap myself as the 26 isn't cutting it. The 34 was put in long beds, the 26 in short beds. I think the 34 will fit a short bed but the spare will have to be moved and carried somewhere else. As to installing twin tanks, where are you going to run the exhaust?
