Default Gentle tapping sound when cold.

Hi
Got a 6.2 D K2500 -93. Roughly 287 000km driven. After "cold" start I can hear a gentle "tapping" sound. Difficult locate the source. It goes a way after couple minutes of idling. No smoke from the exhaust pipes. Engine starts very easily and runs with all 8. No issue there.
lifter, injector or bearing....that's the question and how to solve it... ideas?

Trying to troubleshoot from a bulletin board, I'd say lifter. In reality what you have is wear, and with what you post, I'd just run it.
