Ignition Switch

I have an '88 Chevy 1 ton truck. 350, automatic. Here's my problem. Weather wise we have been pretty lucky so far this year, but I am sure colder temps are coming. That's where my problems begin. When it gets really cold for an extended time the ignition switch is VERY hard to turn. The switch is located on the steering column. I have even resorted to using a pair of pliers in order to turn it far enough to crank the engine. It's as if there is some grease somewhere that gets really stiff in cold weather. I am afraid one of these days I am going to break something. Any ideas? Thanks Greg

I'd suggest graphite. Have you tried any solid lubricant's? If so, that may be your problem, also might be time to replace it. Not solid lubricant, but spray?
