I recently bought a 1990 chevy truck, runs great for its age and she's the first thing I've had with fresh paint, but the whole gauge cluster is crap. I couldn't find anywhere online that sold a new factory replacement, so I bit the bullet and purchased one of those fangled digital aftermarket clusters in attempt to solve the issue. The old gauges were those familiar float over styles like these:
The only problem is I can't seem to find a wiring harness diagram that explains which wire does what on the factory harness that used to plug into the old gauges. I tried asking the service department at the local Chevy places and they don't have schematics for anything older than 2000. Tried slogging through google for a couple weekends with little to show for it, and the guys at intellitronics (manufacturer of the aftermarket gauge cluster) haven't even bothered to answer me back. Aside from taking it to a shop and paying someone to wire it up for me, I'm sort of left scratching my head on this one. By chance does anyone have the old schematic for the 1990 chevy c1500 gauge cluster wiring harness?
Thanks, and in case anyone wants to see her:
