Default Interchangeable parts with my 1991 Chevy Silverado c1500 5.7L

Morning,
I'm new to this, if I'm in the wrong place please send me in correct way Thank You.. My question is ' can I swap engine and transmission from a 1999 Chevy Suburban 5.7L V8 c1500 into my 1991 Chevy Silverado c1500 5.7L V8 . My 1991 engine looks lot less then the 1999. the air filter on 1999 is not like my 1991 filter round with butterfly nut. And for the transmission when I bought my 1991 Chevy from auction it showed 420,××× miles on it hahaha . But it looked like the owner had replaced parts. The 1999 Suburban has 160,xxx miles and gears change on time (good). . My Silverado runs very good it been driven to California , Vegas , Utah , Arizona from Arizona. It does have a small oil leak looks like tranny just haven t really checked it out. I apprecIate all the help I get .

Probably can do, but your 1991 Chevy has OBD I, so you will have to find a compatible OBD II ECM for this to work.
