Default Mysterious rubber plugs

Hi all, newbie here just signed up. Going to have the cab roof refinished (chronic white paint problem). I have two 3/4”plugs on top one in the center and one near cargo/brake lite. Access to wires? Do I need them?

Welcome from Florida. You don't need them but you you do need to close the holes to keep water out of the cab.
