That roof rack's gotta go...
Has anyone come across any plugs or covers for the holes that will remain once I scrap the roof rack on my 07 Tahoe? Or am I making some? Welding and painting (the truly right way to do it) is cost-prohibitive.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've seen some pics of guys that put some molding up there along where the holes were. Looks pretty good.

I'm gonna paint mine body color to hide it a little. I might just do the bases and leave the long side bars black. Let us see your work when you're done.

You can find very thin plastic plugs that are used to hide screw heads on knock-down furniture. You would have to glue them in and paint them body color. I've seen them in black and also white. They also come in different diameters.

Home Depot, Lowe's, Westlake Hardware, or any home improvement type store should have them. They are flat on the back side with a small raised cross that fits in the cross on a Phillips head screw. The top side has a curve to it and is thin at the outer edge.

I would like to replace mine with the Denali/Escalade rack. I have seen this on one Hoe in a magazine...I would need our parts experts help in locating the proper GM parts to do so!!! Any thoughts?
