1995 Chevy 1500, 350, This appears to me to be one issue, It started out as an intermittent issue. When the gear indicator light was lit I had normal transmission functions.
When the gear light was out, I had no 1st or 4th(overdrive) or reverse lights, no speedometer or tach. Now its been out completely and I have only 2nd and 3rd.
I can manual shift from second to third but no other gear.

I have changed my wheel speed sensors, speedometer sensor and ABS control module. I think its an electrical issue of some sort but I am stumped.

Anyone ever have this issue?
Any Ideas?

I have over 400000 miles on this truck and would like to keep it going. Its been a great dependable work truck.

Does your transmission have this prndl neutral safety switch on it?? If so i would say this is the problem. Connectors melt all the time

 

Changed the switch last week. Haven't changed the plug in.
