I have a 1996 1500 with the 4.3 v6 and a 4l60e tranny so the tranny decided to **** itself in 2nd so then i got a 2003 4l60e from a s10 online and he also had the 4.3. He also gave me his torque converter that went with the tranny. So after getting it, i installed it no problem no noises when i started the truck but also no movement in any gears when i put it in any gear. What confuses me is the fact that the pump does work and it has the proper amount of fluid. Any idea. Any one else havin this prob. I think it may be the pressure switch.

 

sounds like it could be 2 different problems ! it's possible that the torque converter was put in wrong ! if you don't get the converter all the way back in than it will tear the pump ears off ! also maybe the filter is clogged up or not enough fluid ! the converter holds the most fluid !
