random cylinder misfire

Default random cylinder misfire

hey yall, i got a 1998 chevy cheyenne 5.0 that has a rough ide and code for random cylinder misfire. it started on my way home from work and just started running rough with no power, new distributor, new cap, rotor, plugs, wires (new as in 500 miles ago) im at a loss and any information on maybe the cause would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a partially plugged injector to me, common with the old injector system. I'd dump some Techron complete down the tank, run around it till it's hot and take it out for an Italian tuneup.on some safe back road while it's dry. Might want to run a scan tool on it first.
