i own a 93 c1500 silverado. Getting arattle when i go from park to D. and while i'm driving. If i hit a bump i can hear it change a little. when stopped if i put it in r it stops. Rattle returns if put into D. If i shift down to the nxt gear it stop again......... just paid 498.13 to replace valvebody plate 68.78,ACC Spring 9.85, brake clean 7.29,trans fluid 14.49 5 hrs. Labor 360.00. when i picked up the truck ( was quoted a couple hundred btw ) the brake lite was on and the pedal went to the floor. It was fine when dropped off. Tech said oh, that's your brake booster, i heard it hissing, I checked brake fluid and he put some in. Said i probably needed a master cylinder too. the Idle has been at 500 for 8 years. It was banging into drive big time. got it to my mechanic, a 30 yr. GM tech, brake line leaking, adjusted the idle and it shifted into drive like normal. drives and shifts fine. did he miss something ? as far as the rattle? Any body ???

 

Call the BBB and your Automotive Repair Bureau, You are dealing with chumps who don't know or care what they are doing and they need to be held to account for their incompetence. Do NOT let these fools rip you off. Find a good shop on Yelp.
