Default Recirc actuator removal??

1998 Silverado - the passenger side (actuator) located underneath the dash, below the glove box and to the left of the blower needs replacement due to a constant ticking/thumping. One screw on the actuator is easily accessible but the top screw is not visible, I can feel it but can't seem to get a good bite on it. Dash removal doesn't seem like a real good option. I have removed the glove box but that does not give me any additional access. Sure seems like getting it from below is the best option. Anyone have any tricks on the removal and is there any concern when installing a new one? Thanks

You'll need a flexible 1/4 inch drive to get this actuator out by hand. Make damn sure it's threaded place when you torque it back down. It should be a 5.5 mm screw. Pull out anything in the way at all and take your time, rather then strip plastic threads.
