I’m still trying to find a specific diagram for the smog tube routing, but generally, the pump should have an inlet that draws air from a filter (usually a canister that looks like an inline fuel filter), then an outlet that pumps air to a diverter valve, then from the valve to the exhaust stream which is typically at the manifold, but some systems pumped air to the converter as well.
I haven’t been able to find what I can confirm is an accurate illustration (or photo) of the smog tubing for your truck, so here’s a basic diagram of how it should be set up. There’s a little room for freedom on how you want to route the tubing, but the order of the system components (pump, control valve, check valve, manifolds) must be maintained or the system won’t work properly.
