I need a little help figuring out a problem. For the last couple of years my gas gauge on my 98 Chevy K1500 Z71 alternates between spinning in circles (both ways) and stopping in random places, as well as needle vibration. The fuel pump was recently replaced, so I know it isn't the float arm or whatever the usual cause is. So my question is what are the other causes of this? I am thinkingnof replacing the stepper motor but wanted to see what else can cause this before I tear into it. Thanks.
