Default Tbi rebuild

I'm rebuilding the tbi in my 89 k1500 5.0. a little backstory is I'm a truck mechanic of the heavy duty flavor and this is my personal truck I don't drive it very often because I have a service truck that I run around in but she's my Old faithful and I would never get rid of it. The problem I was having is it would start fine but when you drive it especially starting from a dead stop it would nearly stall and then take off. Also at low speeds it would hit this fat cam mode LOL and sound like a dragster going through the grocery store parking lot. So I did the right thing and went ahead and bought new injectors a reseal kit a new TPS and a new IAC so I've got it apart in my driveway and wouldn't you know it everything plastic you touch just deteriorates. so here's my question I broke both of the small vacuum lines that go to the throttle body replace those with some emissions tubing I found at the O'Reilly's. I broke my PCV tube in half just moving it and also the nipple off of the PCV valve itself while removing that I don't want to have to find that tubing has anyone ever just used 3/8 fuel line from the PCV to the Barb on the throttle body? Looks like it would fit just fine but wanting some opinions. Also the problem with the truck running like crap and all was a broken spring in the pressure regulator. First time I've encountered that and I've had a lot of these trucks.
