Tire and rim sizing issues 1991 Chevrolet k1500 5.7l
1991 Chevrolet k1500 5.7 350sbc
Currently I have stock 16s on 275/65s I'm looking at getting new rims but here's the issue.
Got the truck from a younger kid who was a mechanic, had the tortion cranked all the way, had a extra leaf spring in to level it out. Wore out the front end, center link, tie rods etc.. Replaced that, reset the bars down to about a 1 inch lift in the front leaving me with the issue of the back being at about a 3 inch lift still. So I did the cheaper faster route and got drop shackles so now overall the truck is about a 1 inch lift/leveled. I'm looking at putting 20s on it but the issue is they're 9inches wide, is that gunna be too wide for the backspace and the wells on the truck? The tires will be the same size, street tires 275/45s same diameter give or take a half inch. I'm Trying to find 20x8 but it seems to be all rims I don't like.. Anyone knowledgeable on the backspace on the truck or have experience or issues with rim size and width??
