This is not a big deal and not really all that important.. but I was going to work on my 1995 C1500 WT doors and put in new door skins on the rusting bottom six inches or so... I bought the skins, and have them, but at the last second, I found a supplier who buys components/parts from Texas and sells them here in Minnesota. He had both doors for my pickup with manual window cranks, glass intact, wrong color but that can be changed. I bought them for $125 each because they had some dings that I could fix but NO rust..... He listed them on his website as fitting 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC and I have no doubt they are right. But my question... is there a way to find out specifically what year they came off of??? My 1995 has different mirrors and the mirrors on one of the Texas doors had a rather large dent... I researched, found that there were several styles of manual mirrors; well, at least two.. and thought I could identify the year of my Texas doors using a picture of the mirrors... but there is no luck with that... Anybody got any other ideas of how to determine the year of the doors? Perhaps there is a part number stamped somewhere on door? Any suggestions/advice appreciated..... Thanks!

 

if the doors have any of the stickers still on them, you will sometimes find a date code on that.
otherwise, i would say that you would have to determine it by style of mirror, style of door panel, and luck.
