Default 03 gmc 1500HD suspension help

I have a 03 gmc 1500HD.
I was told it was the same GVW as a 2500.
I put a buttler bale bed on it. Now it squats more than I like.
I need to know can I replace the rear leaf spring stack with springs for a 2500HD?
Or do the add a leaf kits work? Helper spring?
Or is air the better way to go? Was kinda avoiding this because of cost.
thanks for your help

doesn't a 1500HD have the same frame, springs, engine, trans, axles, differentials of the 2500HD.

what does the butter bale weigh? What is the cargo capacity listed in the vehicle glove box label? The reason...no modifications will make this safe for the street if you are over weight...you bought the wrong vehicle. if its something that will never see a public road; air springs would handle the weight the best but may leak 10 years down the road. the good; if you ever remove the load; air springs adjust real fast.

I was told the 1500HD is a 2500. Was told the 2500HD is a bit heavier.
Not sure what the bed weighs. 1500lbs.
This is a bale bed. They are used to haul round bales. A lot of people have them on pickup.

i have no idea the stance at this point...one option...if you just want to level it...what about lowering the front torsion bars...

you will need to align the front toe setting or you will burn off the front tires
