so recently my 03 silverado z71 was kicking into limp mode and the only problem it showed was oil change needed, so i changed the oil and it’s running normal again but the oil pressure now sits just below 60 at idle and almost 80 when accelerating, i’m not sure what the problem could be

 

You didn't use a Fram oil filter did you?

 

i used an stp extended life filter, could it be because they didn’t have the right blend but we used the same oil just different blend?

 

STP filters are A-Okay. If you used the same weight of oil for your vehicle it shouldn't have effected your oil pressures.
