Question '07 Silverado Top Speed

Looking to settle some good-natured bantering between a couple of my buddies...

Anybody know the stock governed top speed of a 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic Z71 with the 5.3 L59, 4L60E trans, and a 3.42 limited slip rearend? Some say it's 98, some say it's like 105, some say it's completely different...

Any ideas?

I thought it was 108 mph based of the speed rating of the tires?

I hit 100 mph once in my 2004 (5.3L, automatic, 2wd) - just to see if it would do it -- but never tried going any faster than that.

No idea what a 2007 model will do, but I assume it's about the same.

Same here, except I was passing a semi on the interstate. Was just curious how much over 100 mph it'd go, and wanted to find out without getting a speeding ticket, preferably...
