Hi my name is Dave and I own a 2000 Silverado with 5.3 with 150,000 miles. I'm thinking about dropping a 6.0 in because I've seen others that did it with increased torque and horsepower. I know everything will match up but my question is. is there any other little things that they didn't tell me I know I will need the PCM flash. And I also don't know what motor year wise or Vin code I will need for mine

 

Everything will straight swap, you will need a tune for it or the PCM flashed. This will net the best results. 00-02 were cable driven throttle body and 03-06 were electronic, so if you get an 03-06 you will need your stock throttle body. Oh and 05-06 if you get from an escalade/Denali/vortec Max used electric so you might have to swap water pumps. Or convert to e-fans
