took this motor and trans ,comp wiring (without cutting any wires)put it in 78 truck put oem fuel tank in bed oem hose routing the motor ran perfect in the 2001 and everything works in the 78 but if you drive at a steady rate the motor sounds like its starving for fuel but if you put your foot in it it will set you back in the seat or if you turn the ign switch off and back on it smoothes out for about a mile then starts again it also does this at an idle and you can rev it up and toggle the switch and it will smooth out for about 45 seconds then return to doing it but it never dies and has all the power it should have hhhheeeellllp
