Default 2003 Silverado Blower Resistor

Shut my truck off the other day and the heater kept running. Found on Google that it was more than likely the blower resistor. I bought the new resistor and ran into an issue. There is a 3 wire plug coming from the truck and the new resistor has a 7 wire plug. I bought the wiring harness and connect A wire to A wire, B to B and C to C. Leaving the remaining 4 not connected. When I turn the truck on the heater will not blow. Does anyone have any suggestions? I checked the connections. They seem good. It's been in the negatives all week and is only going to get cooler. Negative 41 to be exact. I would really like to have heat when takeoff the daughter to daycare. Any help is appreciated.

There are three different resistor modules (actually 2 resistor packs and 1 power module) for the 2003 Silverado. Which particular part you need depends on the HVAC options for your Silverado. You can go to https://www.4s.com/en, put in your year, make and model, select blower motor resistor and the three choices will show.

Good Luck
