Default 2005 2500HD cabin air filter

Can anyone tell me if my 2005 Silverado 2500 HD has a cabin air filter? I would just as soon not tear it apart to find out if I don't have to. Please only reply if you DEFINATELY know if it has one or not. Some videos I have seen say it does and some say it doesn't, but they were all working on a different year or model. I know where it would be if it had one. Thanks in advance.

Should be under the dash. Remove the glove box and you'll have access to the CAF.

There’s no definite answer other than for you to look. Cabin air filters on these trucks are optional, so it would’ve been decided by the original purchaser whether or not it has one. All the HVAC housings are fitted to accept a filter, but if they don’t have one, all you’ll see is a panel covering the slot where it should be. If you want to add one, the panel can be cut out with a utility knife.

It will be either above or to the left of the blower motor.
