Default 2006 silverado service manual

Hey all. I just upgraded my old 1990 stepside to a 2006 crew. Love it!
I am looking for a service manual. Cheap or free!! I have seen some ads (ebay) for dvd versions but not for 06.
Anyone got any links or advice? Thanks all!!

Its tricky to find anything complete for free on the net, are you looking for the dealer shop manuals or just a hanes type one?

I have access to the individual sections to it, is there a specific section you need. Its a database I have from my old job that has all vehicles makes & models , and they are factory information.

I need the model type, engine size and the trans info to look it up.

hey that is mighty nice of you but no. there is not a section i need right now. i just want to have it as i do try to do most of my maintenance and the haynes manual does come up short in some instances. especially wiring. i am a helicopter mechanic so i am good at reading and following directions!

Stick with the paper versions (HELM is a good one), you can take it out to your truck with you. I never was a fan of electronic pulications.

success,

Alldata.com It is a direct copy of the factory manual. It is not free though, but is less than 135.00. I am not affiliated with it in anyway but it is the program we use at work everyday and has lots of info.

not bad $45 for 5 year subscription. it is good? everything the factory manual is? wiring and all? that is the best bet yet. anyone got any other ideas?
