Default 99 silverado 5.3L stutering

Recently picked up this truck. needed a pick up for my dirt bike. Ran great on the test drive but after a while i was going up this hill near my house with cruise on and it started stuttering like I was running out of fuel or something. I did some upgrades. Put a cold intake system and LED headlight assemblies changed the oil, changed the cabin air filters etc. Its got some minor electrical issues but thats all in the stereo and interior lights. Ive ordered a new MAF sensor. Yesterday filled with ethanol-free super and added Seafoam but Im kinda wary of driving it around. Any ideas?

Check your fuel pressure. With the key ON and the engine OFF, the factory fuel pressure specification is 55 - 62 psi. Also, remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator and see if fuel runs out of the vacuum line or the nipple. If fuel runs out, the fuel pressure regulator is bad and needs to be replaced.

UPDATE: So far ive done the following, NEW: fuel filter, coils, plug wires, plugs, MAF sensor, changed oil, and have a fuel pressure regulator on order which should be here in a couple of days. I ran a fuel pressure check and it was on the low side but within tolerances. Compression check, same thing, low but within specs. After the full tune (wires, plugs and coils) it runs great but I only went about 8 miles. Time will tell but i didnt experience any stutter/hesitation anymore. When i pulled the plugs they looked completely stock., 170k miles on original plugs, no wonder it was running badly.
