Default About to hit 200,000 miles. Maintenance?

She's running great. (Knock on wood). Almost to 200k. Is there any notorious problems around this milage? Any tips on how to keep her running great? Should I sell soon?

What year? Which engine? Auto or stick? 1500, 2500 or 2500? Do you know the maintenance history of the truck? How long have you owned it? City or highway miles?

My 2004 has 136,xxx miles and runs very strong. A friend of mine has a 2002 with 250,xxx miles on his and it goes up and down the road every day. For a well-maintained truck, 200,000 miles is not necessarily the kiss of death.........but things will break and it will nickel & dime you a lot.

Keep the fluids changed and don't drive it like you stole it.

I have a lifted 04 1500 with a stock 4.3. The previous owner seemed to treat it like a pavement princess. I have had it for about half a year and put 30,000 mile on it, with a mixture of highway half the time and the other half being short 15 mins drives.

ive got somewhere around 305k ish on my 2000 suburban, and she runs near perfect after fixing some things. i am the second owner and the first owner was an older couple who drove it across the country MA to CA and MA to TX and back multiple times. i am starting to plan a lower mileage 6.0L swap though
