Default ABS LIGHT 2004 Silverado LS. 4.8L

Having problems with my Abs .. I have a Abs scanner tool.. At first it read c0225 fixed the wheel speed sensor.. Test drove it and the ABS light shows again .. When completing a stop. I hear screeching or scraping sound on stop.... When driving it does a great drive.... So the ABS light turns on again and i get a code C0226...Please help! What could it be?

You likely have dirty or corroded electrical connections on one of your front ABS/Wheel Speed sensors. My suggestion is to unplug the connectors for the ABS/Wheel Speed sensors and make sure that the contacts are clean and dirt free. Also, if one of the wires from either connector goes off and attaches to the frame or body (ground connection), make sure that those connections are clean and tight as well. You are dealing with very low level voltages being generated by the ABS/Wheel Speed sensors and it does not take much corrosion or dirt to mess them up.

Good Luck!

Double check all the electrical connections before you do anything else.

Do you have a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM)?

Generally, when I change a wheel sensor, on the same wheel, for the second time, I also install a new wheel hub/sensor.That usually fix's it.
