Recently, when I start my 2003 Silerado, the abs pump runs constantly and starts to smoke. I had to pull the abs fuse under hood in order to stop it. I've replaced the abs control module, but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

 

perhaps the pump itself is faulty and not the module. Pump issue causing the module to work harder than it should, thus creating the smoke?

 

This may not help with the smoking issue, but as far as running continually did you check for proper ground to the ebcm? It is located under the driver's side floor board on the frame I believe. If it looks crappy and rusty take it apart and use a wire wheel or scotch brite pads to clean the area, replace the bolt and nut if necessary. This ground connection opening due to rust or corrosion is a common issue and can be a quick fix if you're lucky. i If there is more than one ground at that location it will be the larger of the two.
