Default Bolt on's for a 2000 Silverado 1500

Hi Guys,

I have a 2000 Chevy 1500 with a 4.8L V8, and I would like to increase the power of my trucks engine any Ideas as to what gives you the best bang for your buck?

I would think a Turbocharger would be easiest (Turbochargers have come along way in the last couple of years). Or possibly Nitrous , in either case I would check out condition of your engines internals first. Mine is supercharged but that option involves alot of money and time. If you are boosting power set aside money for your tranny and diff as they may need to be beefed up to handle the extra power.

Default Supercharger question

I have a Magnuson Supercharger, expensive @ $6,000.00 if you check my profile I have a PDF of my drivetrain spec's along with some pictures of my truck. When you open the pdf enlarge it and the text becomes readable. I will also post some pictures of the engine asap.

If that's out of the budget, you could start off with the basics. Longtube headers, intake, exhaust and a custom tune. If you want more then look into doin a cam/converter combo.
