C notch or step notch

C notch or step notch
So I was gonna buy one of those c notch kits and have someone weld them for me but I was thinking of of going all out and have a step. Notch instead that way I can bag it in the near future I've told some people and they told me that it wasn't a good idea too just stick with the simple c notch instead... any thoughts ?
