I have an ABS/Parking brake lights on the dash. I have cleaned the ground bringing it to bare metal and replacing contacts, bolt and washer with copper contacts and stainless. All electrical connections with contact cleaner. Virginia will not pass the truck with the lights on.

Im trying to troubleshoot vs. selling/donating . The truck is pretty rotted on the body from being in upstate NY for 23 years. It has 167k on the odometer, and all maintenance has been kept up.

any suggestions on how to pass in Virginia or where to go?

next year it qualifies as an antique and I don’t have to worry about this.

Check the (blue)wire going from the E-brake to make sure it's not broken first.
