Default Cateye first truck?

Hey guys I’m a newb here and am turnin 15 soon so I can get a vehicle to learn on. I am looking into a cateye for my first truck. I’m a ford guy but love the exterior styling and the interior of the cateye. And no I’m not going to squat it. But would it be a good option I’m looking for one with the 5.3 but would the truck last and be a good truck in the winter? I don’t know and need help thanks!

Welcome from Florida. Since you are looking to buy a used truck, it all depends on if it was well maintained and not driven into the ground. A well maintained, low mileage truck will give you excellent service. This is the same with any make of truck. Get maintenance records if you can. Soon you will change your name to UT_CHEVY.

they were a good generation of trucks. but any used vehicle needs to be inspected. there are good ones and beat up trucks you don't want any part of. when you find something you like..spend $150 for a mechanic to go over it. Most trucks of that age need $2000 of work after purchase.

4wd trucks are much more expensive to operate an maintain than a fwd car.
