Crank - No Start 2006 Chevy 2500hd 6.0L
Hey all,
I got gifted a non-running '06 2500hd and I am fighting a no start issue. I put a new battery in it when I first got it and was able to get it to start once shortly after. It ran great until I tried to start it again. Haven't been able to get it started since and have been diving through the grounds on the truck since it is a bit rusty. I put a code reader on it and I get codes: P0120, P0220, P01516. I did some of my own research on the codes and some say it could be a grounding issue. So far I have cleaned and redone the grounds on the driver side block and underneath the driver side door. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

theres a ground that runs from the back of the block on the passengers side to a wire loom. also if you really think its a grounding issue you should be able to take a jumper wire (or jumper cables) and attach it to the engine block (alternator bracket) and directly to the battery.
on a side note is it trying to start, starting for a second then dying or just spinning?
if you hold the gas down to the floor while trying to start it will put the truck in "clear flood mode" and it wont give it any fuel and will just spin. does it sound similar to when youre just trying to start it?

Thanks for the input. I ended up grounding directly to the battery shortly after I made that post and had no luck. The wire that I assume was going to the engine ground on the block was already rerouted to the driver side. I think this may have been a previous issue?
As for the side note, It doesn't sound like it's trying to start at all, but it definitely isn't getting any spark. I had put the pedal down once out of frustration, but I don't know if that would cause it to go into clear flood mode. Before I turn the key over I hear the fuel pump prime, but I am not certain if the injectors are firing; however, again I still don't have spark.
Again, thanks for the help. I'm pretty stumped with my limited auto knowledge, but trying to learn as much as I can with this truck.
