Good evening. I purchased a 1999 c1500 last year and the frame broke. I have come to find out that it has a jasper rebuild with 22000 miles on it. Does this engine have any value? Thanks

 

I would say that it has value, the issue is really just how much value. I couldn’t begin to guess on that based upon your willingness to prep the engine or not, your physical location, etc. Do you potentially want to get another 1500 with a blown engine and want to transplant your drivetrain into it?

Well I'm in PA, and would like to find a roller to put the drivetrain in. This truck was exceptionally cared for, other than the frame cracking clean through at the cab mount. Any leads on a southern truck? Or anyone who would have interest in this drivetrain? Thanks so much for your input.
