Hi,
I have a 2005 chevy Silverado 1500 and was wondering should I replace the whole filler neck or just the overfill hose that's broke. Is this a pain in the rear to do.

not sure what a overfill hose is? are you referring to the refueling vapour recover pipe that is part of the filler neck? post a pic
the vapour recover pipe can't be open to the atmosphere or evap leak codes will set. Its should be replaced for safety...what if you have a rollover. Its not a bad job to replace.

so I looked at the fuel hose today connected to the filler neck and its just a hose that is capped at the top of the hose? Its not actually into the filler neck itself its just attached to the filler pipe with a bracket. unsure where it goes or what its to. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks kev
