I have a 1999 silverado new body style 1500 ext. cab 3 door step side with Z71 offroad with tow hooks as well. I am looking for fog lights and the lower valance piece that mounts below the front bumper.

1. trying to find fog lights i have tried different parts sites and some list with or without z71 but in the pic they look the same rectangle shape. i know that for the tahoe and suburban with the z71 that those lights with z71 i have seen are round and without are rectangle as i had a 03 LS suburban with rectangle fog lights so whats the deal?

2.same issue with the front lower valance trying to find one that fits for a step side truck. I hearing two stories that the front bumpers are the same from stepside to fleetside for the front but i believe that the front bumbper of a stepside truck has a more curved of a upside down frowny face if that makes sense than if it was a fleet side truck. i know the rear bumpers are different. as i look for the valance it ask is it for step side or fleet side does it have tow hooks,fog lights, and or Z 71. but the listings show with or without tow hooks or with or without fog lights and or with or without z71.

3. So should i just try to look for a valance that fits for the stepside and cut out holes as needed?

 

I have a 01 stepside. Front bumpers are exactly the same from 99-02 silverado only and 99-06 tahoes/suburbans as those didn't change front clips. So you can get a balance from a 99-02 Silverado with the smaller rectangular fog lights but I found those to be rather crappy. I myself ordered a valance from a 2006 suburban ltz z71 that is black instead of grey and has the circle fog lights. Exact same perfect fit
