Default Fuel Door

I have a 2007 Silverado Classic. Posting here so as I assume it's similar to 2006 models.

After 11 years and 140,000 miles, the fuel door spring has broke. I see on the parts list (GM1759102) that I can get one, from a lot of supplier's, but it's un-painted.

Does anyone know how I can get one to match my current silver paint?

Thanks,

RickR90s

Buy some touch-up paint and paint it yourself. It will save you a lot of time, trouble and money.

good point oldchevy. Actually, I can kind of paint but was hoping for maybe a pre-painted option.

What about custom, billet or carbon fiber replacement doors? Anyone do those? Are they bolt in replacements? Quality any good?

Thanks very much,

pretty sure replacements either bolt or rivet into place.

I decided to use some small magnets, glued to the inside flange of the door. JB Weld sells a Super glue type material and with six small button cell type magnets, the door closes and stays closed very nicely.

My wife was happy I saved some money.
