Default Grinding while turning

2006 Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 123000 miles.
At any speed, as soon as the driver side front tire crosses the center point and aims to the left, there is a quiet, rubbing/scraping noise. Removed tire and inspected the entire area and there are no rub marks or evidence that would point to the cause. Assuming it is an internal issue. Bearing? CV Joint?

Be curious who responds. When I turn left (2003 1500 Z71) it sounds like a tinkling chain rattling quietly. But only on left hand turns. Not loud, but noticable.
