I'd look into what I call "Farmer's Bumper's". They are very well-made welded steel with an attachment built-in for pulling carrry-all's and other such things. They are not cheap, but they are extremely strong. Any tailgater who hits one will sustain major damage to their vehicle, and the bumper will likely just lose some paint. Most have the hole you need to lower your spare tire should you need to do so.

All the bumpers we saw at the JY, were in worse condition than the one we have.
There is a place that sells cheap "made in china" junk.
It's so thin, you can almost bend it in half with your hands.

They used to make the "farmer's bumper" in my home-town when I was young. Those well very well-built and my father had one installed on his 3/4 ton pickup. The welds were perfectly done, and those bumpers would last a lifetime. No cheap Chinese junk bumpers, way back then.

I think I have found what you are looking for IRT a heavy-duty farmer's bumper.

I knew there was a place that still made very heavy-duty rear bumpers, made in the USA. This is what I meant when I spoke of "farmer's bumpers". You can find Reunel at this site:
