Help! Shifting to park issues!

Long story, but here it goes. My transfercase had the pump rub issue and drsined all the fluids. I jb welded it and it worked for a while then it had problems shifting. I replaced the transfercase motor and it would shift, but then the transfer case made terrible noises. I installed a rebuilt transfer case, and now when I shift into park the truck still rolls. I checked the shift cable by disconnecting it, and manually shifting it into park, same problem. Truck drives in all other gears fine. Only thing I notice is when i push the button to go into 4hi it flashes and then the auto 4wd light comes on, not the 4hi light, which it used to come on before.not problems shifting to neutral, 2hi, or 4lo. I would like to fix this myself, but am at my wits end. Could the shift motor have been damaged by the old transfer case? Would it cause the no park issue? Is my transmission broke? Thanks -Jeremy
