I have an 06 silverado and im looking to put wider tires on my truck. Its a quad cab LT with the z71 package. I currently have 265/70/17 on there and its time to change them out. Can i go to 285? or 308? looking for wider and meatier look. I will be buying the 2.5in rough country leveling kit as well. Any suggestions?

 

285 wouldnt be a problem at all. Im guessing you mean 305? with a 2.5 level you might be able to clear 305s

 

I went from 245 to 265 and it threw off my speedometer. You will have to get it recalibrated if you want it accurate.
