I bought a 2002 Silverado 1500 4x4 with the 4.8 nv3500. The clutch went out. I climbed underneath to pull the transmission out and there's no covers /plugs on the "bell housing" . Looks like the previous owner replaced the slave/throw out bearing and maybe didn't put them back on. The Chevy dealer can't find them can't even find a picture of them. My local bone yards don't have any. And the searching the Internet keeps showing me the wrong plugs/covers. Does anybody know where I can find them or a part number for them?
Try reaching out to a local transmission shop - the longer they’ve been in operation, the better - they may have several unused plugs they’d be willing to sell and/or may be able to order them for you or give you some sources to check.
