Hey all, I am new here looking for some advice for my 2004 silverado. I need a new cat, plan to do the install myself with my husband but am a bit mystified at all the choices available on the market. I know we do not want to do an authentic part from the manufacturer ($$$) but we are certainly replacing the y-pipe and all and will not be messing with welding anything. What experience has anyone had with replacing the cat? And which brands would you recommend and which would you stay away from? I had read on a different forum awhile back (but, of course, cannot relocate it now) that some were harder to connect than others.
