No fire to plugs
So had test light coming on at cool but I did spark test and no ark at all. Replaced coil and still no fire at coil. I have power on one wire at coil and not other not even when cranking. Power only on one wire to module as well even when cranking. All fuses ok. ?????
[replaced distributor coil , crank sensor , cam sensor still no spark and then yesterday I thought I better check every fuse again which had already done and lo and behold ECM fuse was blown replaced truck started up and purrs like a kitten I’ve never been so happy on Christmas it’s my back up truck and electrician it’s always good to have a redundancy just wanted to share and if your truck is running rough changing all these parts cost me around $600 but it runs smoother than it ever has the last mechanic charge me $1350 and it ran but it ran horribly I’m just an electrician like I say but you can fix these things on your old truck Instead of paying a high price mechanic but can’t even do the job right everyone have a great holiday sorry if this post came out in the wrong area I couldn’t figure out where to put itQUOTE=John6275;322569]99 Silverado with 4.3 , 5 speed
Backed up in driveway wouldn't start back. First thought fuel pump but you can hear it when you turn on switch. Also, sprayed starter fluid in carb and no start no hit. Checked and no fire to plugs. Previously had bad modual so I replaced it again. Still not fire. I had vehicle for fours years and figured wouldn't hurt to change plugs, plug wires and distributor cap and rotor but still no fire. I am getting fire from coil to distributor but none at plugs. Check engine light comes on when you turn on key.no RPM registering. So I replaced the crank sensor thinking that was it but still no power at plugs.
I think that is about it. I have a multi meter but not schooled in its use. Yes it cranks but want hit at all.
Help appreciated.[/QUOTE]
